KARAOKE CLUB GOES OUT WITH A BANG
A karaoke club in Phnom Penh's Tuol Kork district was closed down on Monday by order of the district governor after a patron of the club fired his gun into the ceiling of a karaoke room on Friday night, police said. The shooter, who was deeply drunk, was briefly detained but later released. A government letter informed Chhin Samrith, the owner of Dream City karaoke, that his club was being shut down because it had disrupted public order by carelessly allowing customers to bring their guns inside.
