A Managing Editor of Radio Free Asia (RFA) has been reproached by former employees RFA for dismissing several staff. Critics alleged that RFA's code of conduct and Cambodia's Labor Law have been broken at a press conference on Wednesday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international Cooperation (MFAIC).

Staff have blasted other journalists who seem reticent to investigate the situation or publish critical stories about RFA. PM Hun Sen has said that RFA should be subject to Cambodia law. RFA Managing Editor Kim Pao has tried to excuse RFA, claiming the dismissed staff's contracts had expired. She asked why other media are concentrating on RFA instead of on strikes at garment factories. Michael Vickery, a professor in Melbourne, Australia and respected expert on Cambodia, has said the RFA's dismissals seem unfair.
