OSK Indochina Bank opens four branches in Cambodia

KUALA LUMPUR: OSK Indochina Bank Ltd (OSKIBL) officially opened, four new branches in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on Tuesday.

The branches are located at the City Mall Olympic, Stoeung Meanchey, Kbal Thnal and Pet Lok Song.

OSKIBL chairman, Datuk Nik Mohamed Din Nik Yusoff said the bank was committed through the provision of financial products and services, to make a positive contribution towards the development and growth of the Cambodian economy.

OSKIBL is 100 per cent-owned by OSK Investment Bank Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of OSK Holdings Bhd, the latter said in a statement on Tuesday.

"Through the expansion of our network of branches, we aim to provide added customer convenience and reach out to serve a wider section of the Cambodian population," said OSKIBL chief operating officer/country head, Lim Loong Seng.

All the OSKIBL branches will be equipped with Cambodia's first ever 24-hour Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) offering cash deposit, cash withdrawal and cheque deposit facilities.

OSKIBL had launched Cambodia's first automated cheque deposit machine facility upon commencement of business operations in October 2008.

OSKIBL's paid up capital has since doubled to US$25.25 million from US$13 million(US$1=RM3.39) and staff strength has increased to 87 from the initial 29.Of this number, 81 are locals. - Bernama
