Trigger-happy scion on the run in kandal
Villagers in a Kandal province community want justice after the well-connected son of a village chief allegedly fired his rifle into the air at least 20 times following a heated argument with his wife. It happened Monday after the man had just been released from prison, villagers said. The man is said to have hidden his rifle in a bush and asked his father to keep the weapon safe while he made his escape. Villagers, though acknowledging the village chief has a “cordial relationship” with police, are still insisting that authorities find the suspect and punish him.
