via Khmer NZ

August 2 - Agility is open for business in Cambodia and has opened an office in Phnom Penh, supporting the company's network growth strategy and further strengthening its operations in Indochina.

In addition to traditional multimodal freight forwarding services and cross border trucking services initially connecting Ho Chi Minh to Phnom Penh and Bangkok to Phnom Penh, Agility Cambodia will also focus on other key sectors including project logistics in the oil and gas sector.

"Agility has a great opportunity to develop the Cambodian market as demand is growing for a broad range of freight and logistics services. We are seeing a significant increase in international trade from Cambodia to the USA and Europe, as well as to the rest of Asia. We have also seen an increase in cross border trade within Indochina and between ASEAN countries," said Mike Gildea, CEO, Agility, South East Asia.

To support its growth in Cambodia Agility has appointed Phang Sovong as General Manager, Cambodia.
